L\u2019accent mis par le gouvernement sur le renforcement de la souverainet\u00e9 comprend la r\u00e9duction de la d\u00e9pendance du Canada envers des entreprises \u00e9trang\u00e8res pour des technologies sensibles comme le quantique. <\/p><p>Les r\u00e9centes d\u00e9penses de d\u00e9fense et les investissements gouvernementaux plus larges servent \u00e0 acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes d\u2019innovation, \u00e0 faire cro\u00eetre les entreprises quantiques nationales, \u00e0 acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la commercialisation et \u00e0 soutenir l\u2019adoption des technologies quantiques par les Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes \u2014 ainsi que par l\u2019industrie en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral.<\/p><p>Le Canada se distingue en mati\u00e8re de technologies quantiques, que ce soit en calcul, en capteurs ou en communications. Ces trois domaines ont \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9s comme des capacit\u00e9s cl\u00e9s \u00e0 double usage pouvant contribuer aux ambitions de d\u00e9fense nationale et correspondant directement aux besoins actuels des forces militaires canadiennes; ils ont tous trois \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9sign\u00e9s comme des priorit\u00e9s par la Strat\u00e9gie nationale quantique (SNQ) du Canada. <\/p><p>Le programme FABrIC, g\u00e9r\u00e9 par CMC Microsyst\u00e8mes, renforce les capacit\u00e9s nationales dans des technologies avanc\u00e9es telles que les semi-conducteurs compos\u00e9s, la photonique, les capteurs int\u00e9gr\u00e9s et les supraconducteurs, tous essentiels \u00e0 la fabrication d\u2019ordinateurs quantiques au Canada. FABrIC permet la cr\u00e9ation de composants sur mesure \u00e0 partir d\u2019usines canadiennes pour soutenir de nombreuses technologies avanc\u00e9es, dont le quantique. FABrIC offre \u00e9galement une formation de haut niveau aux concepteurs de demain, qui d\u00e9velopperont des composants \u00e9lectroniques fiables, des composants pour les communications s\u00e9curis\u00e9es et des capteurs avanc\u00e9s.  <\/p><p>L\u2019industrie quantique canadienne joue un r\u00f4le essentiel pour aider le pays \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger ses r\u00e9seaux, \u00e0 d\u00e9ployer des syst\u00e8mes militaires avanc\u00e9s et \u00e0 pr\u00e9server sa souverainet\u00e9 technologique dans un monde o\u00f9 l\u2019avantage quantique pourrait influencer \u00e0 la fois les conflits et la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ea00b4d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ea00b4d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Communications quantiques : se d\u00e9fendre contre les cybermenaces actuelles et futures<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7e39b93 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7e39b93\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>L\u2019innovation en communications quantiques est motiv\u00e9e par des pr\u00e9occupations de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p><p>La distribution quantique de cl\u00e9s (QKD), un protocole permettant de partager des cl\u00e9s cryptographiques de mani\u00e8re s\u00e9curis\u00e9e entre des parties, peut contribuer \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les communications, le commandement et le contr\u00f4le, les donn\u00e9es du champ de bataille ainsi que les liaisons entre quartiers g\u00e9n\u00e9raux, navires, a\u00e9ronefs et unit\u00e9s sur le terrain.<\/p><p>La QKD peut aussi s\u00e9curiser les liaisons entre banques ou entre si\u00e8ges sociaux et succursales pour les donn\u00e9es financi\u00e8res sensibles, et permettre aux r\u00e9seaux de sant\u00e9 et de recherche de transf\u00e9rer des donn\u00e9es prot\u00e9g\u00e9es de patients ou de laboratoires via des connexions s\u00e9curis\u00e9es.<\/p><p>En g\u00e9n\u00e9rant et en renouvelant des cl\u00e9s de chiffrement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une protection fond\u00e9e sur les lois de la physique pour les liaisons les plus sensibles, la cryptographie bas\u00e9e sur la QKD renforce les r\u00e9seaux contre les ordinateurs quantiques de prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Contrairement au chiffrement \u00ab classique \u00bb, qui repose uniquement sur la complexit\u00e9 math\u00e9matique, la QKD utilise les lois de la physique quantique pour d\u00e9tecter ou contrer les tentatives d\u2019interception. <\/p><p>La <em>Strat\u00e9gie en science et technologie quantiques du MDN\/FAC<\/em> accorde la priorit\u00e9 aux communications quantiques s\u00e9curis\u00e9es, puisque le chiffrement classique finira par \u00eatre vuln\u00e9rable aux ordinateurs quantiques \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle.<\/p><p>Le r\u00e9seau KIRQ, exploit\u00e9 par Numana, un acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur technologique sans but lucratif bas\u00e9 au Qu\u00e9bec, constitue une plateforme d\u2019essai pour les communications quantiques combinant technologies quantiques et classiques dans des conditions r\u00e9elles. Cela permet aux chercheurs et aux entreprises de valider des communications quantiques s\u00e9curis\u00e9es sur une infrastructure en service sans perturber le trafic existant. <\/p><p>Le satellite canadien de chiffrement et de science quantique (QEYSSat) vise quant \u00e0 lui \u00e0 relier les r\u00e9seaux de fibre terrestre aux liaisons quantiques spatiales en utilisant des satellites comme n\u0153uds de confiance ou points relais, en d\u00e9montrant la QKD entre des stations au sol et un satellite en orbite terrestre basse.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ae5f58c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ae5f58c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">D\u00e9tection quantique : am\u00e9lioration de la navigation, de la d\u00e9tection et de la surveillance<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4f96bcb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4f96bcb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>La d\u00e9tection quantique peut \u00eatre plus sensible et, dans certaines applications, plus stable que les capteurs classiques, car elle repose sur des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s quantiques plut\u00f4t que sur du mat\u00e9riel macroscopique.<\/p><p>La d\u00e9tection quantique peut am\u00e9liorer le positionnement, la navigation et la synchronisation gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des mesures ultra-pr\u00e9cises de l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration, de la rotation, de la gravit\u00e9, des champs magn\u00e9tiques et du temps. Dans des environnements contest\u00e9s o\u00f9 le GPS n\u2019est pas disponible, ces capteurs permettent aux plateformes de continuer \u00e0 naviguer et de rester synchronis\u00e9es sans d\u00e9pendre des signaux satellitaires. <\/p><p>La d\u00e9tection quantique et le positionnement, la navigation et la synchronisation (PNT) constituent \u00e9galement un domaine prioritaire de premier plan pour la surveillance de l\u2019Arctique et des zones circumpolaires, les environnements o\u00f9 la navigation est impossible et l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de la connaissance de la situation. Pour les applications civiles, ces technologies permettent d\u2019accomplir des t\u00e2ches courantes avec une sensibilit\u00e9 bien sup\u00e9rieure et une meilleure fiabilit\u00e9 dans des environnements difficiles ou bruyants, notamment une imagerie m\u00e9dicale plus pr\u00e9cise, une d\u00e9tection plus fiable des gisements min\u00e9raux et la mesure de changements dissimul\u00e9s dans les ponts, tunnels, r\u00e9seaux et autres infrastructures. <\/p><p>La d\u00e9fense est un moteur majeur de la R-D en d\u00e9tection quantique. Le Conseil national de recherches investit plus de 900 millions de dollars dans le cadre de la SID pour faire progresser le calcul, les communications et la d\u00e9tection quantiques au profit des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3980b91 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3980b91\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Informatique quantique : d\u00e9cryptage, simulation et d\u00e9couverte de mat\u00e9riaux<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-99d6c13 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"99d6c13\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Une part importante de l\u2019investissement du CNRC est consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019informatique quantique, qui utilise des bits quantiques (qubits) pour effectuer certains calculs de mani\u00e8re beaucoup plus efficace que les ordinateurs classiques.<\/p><p>L\u2019informatique quantique couvre le d\u00e9cryptage, l\u2019int\u00e9gration de l\u2019intelligence artificielle (IA) et la simulation de mat\u00e9riaux avanc\u00e9s adapt\u00e9s aux besoins de la d\u00e9fense. Des investissements distincts ont \u00e9t\u00e9 dirig\u00e9s vers la R-D li\u00e9e \u00e0 la d\u00e9fense afin de renforcer les capacit\u00e9s canadiennes en mat\u00e9riel et en logiciel que le MDN pourra r\u00e9utiliser. L\u2019\u00e9tude de la mani\u00e8re dont les futurs ordinateurs quantiques pourraient briser le chiffrement actuel et le d\u00e9veloppement de protocoles r\u00e9sistants au post-quantique et de sch\u00e9mas cryptographiques hybrides constituent une priorit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e.  <\/p><p>Les syst\u00e8mes combinant le calcul classique haute performance, connus sous le nom de calcul hybride, peuvent contribuer \u00e0 simuler des structures \u00e9lectroniques, des explosifs, des batteries et d\u2019autres mat\u00e9riaux de combat.<\/p><p>Les investissements dans l\u2019infrastructure de l\u2019informatique quantique profitent \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble de l\u2019industrie, notamment :<\/p><ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\"><li>la sant\u00e9 et l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9miologie pour la d\u00e9couverte de m\u00e9dicaments,<\/li><li>l\u2019agriculture pour l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des cha\u00eenes d\u2019approvisionnement et les d\u00e9cisions li\u00e9es au climat, et<\/li><li>l\u2019\u00e9nergie pour la mod\u00e9lisation des batteries, des catalyseurs, des mat\u00e9riaux solaires, des processus nucl\u00e9aires, de la r\u00e9partition des r\u00e9seaux et des syst\u00e8mes de captage du carbone.<\/li><\/ul><p>Bien que l\u2019informatique quantique puisse r\u00e9soudre des probl\u00e8mes de niche, le calcul classique et le calcul haute performance (CHP) continueront de soutenir la plupart des applications de d\u00e9fense.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2bd38c5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2bd38c5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Le secteur des t\u00e9l\u00e9communications du Canada a jet\u00e9 les bases du leadership quantique<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e04d73c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e04d73c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Les capacit\u00e9s du Canada en mati\u00e8re de technologies quantiques sont ancr\u00e9es dans notre h\u00e9ritage en t\u00e9l\u00e9communications, qui offre une base solide en r\u00e9seaux s\u00e9curis\u00e9s, syst\u00e8mes radio, commutation et infrastructures num\u00e9riques modernes que les agences militaires et de renseignement peuvent adapter au commandement, au contr\u00f4le et aux op\u00e9rations. Cette base a \u00e9t\u00e9 renforc\u00e9e par le leadership pionnier, entre autres, de Gilles Brassard \u2014 reconnu comme un fondateur de la science de l\u2019information quantique au Canada \u2014 et de Raymond Laflamme, dont le leadership a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 positionner le Canada \u00e0 l\u2019avant-garde de la r\u00e9volution quantique et \u00e0 b\u00e2tir une capacit\u00e9 de recherche de calibre mondial. <\/p><p>Nos capacit\u00e9s en photonique sont un catalyseur essentiel des technologies quantiques \u2014 elles jouent un r\u00f4le central en informatique quantique en utilisant les photons comme qubits, l\u2019unit\u00e9 de base de l\u2019information en informatique quantique, pour encoder et traiter l\u2019information quantique. Les circuits photoniques int\u00e9gr\u00e9s acheminent et manipulent ces qubits photoniques. La photonique permet \u00e9galement la communication quantique entre les n\u0153uds, soutenant \u00e0 la fois le calcul et la mise en r\u00e9seau dans les futurs syst\u00e8mes quantiques \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle.  <\/p><p>Les investissements gouvernementaux, combin\u00e9s \u00e0 de solides capacit\u00e9s de recherche et de formation dans les universit\u00e9s et \u00e0 un fort contingent de jeunes entreprises, ont soutenu la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me quantique reconnu \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale.<\/p><p>En 2025, FABrIC, l\u2019initiative du Fonds de r\u00e9ponse strat\u00e9gique (FRS) du gouvernement du Canada ax\u00e9e sur les semi-conducteurs, a lanc\u00e9 le premier bac \u00e0 sable en informatique quantique (Quantum Computing Sandbox \u2013 QCS) du Canada afin d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer l\u2019adoption de la technologie de l\u2019informatique quantique en offrant un acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une expertise technique et \u00e0 des plateformes d\u2019informatique quantique de pointe pour les universitaires, les entreprises en d\u00e9marrage et les petites et moyennes entreprises (PME). Les technologies quantiques sont au c\u0153ur du mandat de FABrIC : le mat\u00e9riel quantique fait partie de l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me \u00e9largi des semi-conducteurs, et la formation de personnes capables d\u2019\u00e9crire des logiciels pour ces ordinateurs est une \u00e9tape cruciale de l\u2019adoption de la technologie. <\/p><p>FABrIC stimule le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019applications industriellement pertinentes de l\u2019informatique quantique, notamment dans les domaines de l\u2019\u00e9nergie, des mat\u00e9riaux et des communications. Celles-ci correspondent directement \u00e0 des cas d\u2019utilisation li\u00e9s \u00e0 la d\u00e9fense, tels que l\u2019optimisation de la logistique et des cha\u00eenes d\u2019approvisionnement, la conception de mat\u00e9riaux et de syst\u00e8mes d\u2019armes, et les probl\u00e8mes d\u2019optimisation sensibles sur le plan cryptographique. <\/p><p>FABrIC a d\u00e9j\u00e0 financ\u00e9 des entreprises canadiennes qui font progresser les technologies quantiques. Qubic Technologies d\u00e9veloppe et commercialise des amplificateurs supraconducteurs cryog\u00e9niques novateurs pour le march\u00e9 croissant de l\u2019informatique quantique. Cela renforce la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale et la r\u00e9silience en fournissant des produits d\u2019amplification essentiels provenant d\u2019une source canadienne de confiance.  <\/p><p>\u00c0 la suite du financement de FABrIC, le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral a lanc\u00e9 le Programme des champions quantiques canadiens (PCQC), qui a engag\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 334,3 millions de dollars sur cinq ans pour renforcer l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me national. Ces projets r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 ces exigences croissantes gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des solutions sophistiqu\u00e9es qui vont au-del\u00e0 du d\u00e9veloppement de produits isol\u00e9s : ils renforcent la capacit\u00e9 industrielle nationale. Les applications finales couvrent plusieurs secteurs cl\u00e9s de l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie canadienne : fabrication avanc\u00e9e, technologies propres et \u00e9nergie, technologies m\u00e9dicales, oc\u00e9an secteurs maritimes, automobile et num\u00e9rique. Chaque projet pr\u00e9sente une voie claire vers la commercialisation.   <\/p><p>Lanc\u00e9 en octobre 2025, cet appel de d\u00e9fis portait sur l&rsquo;IA en p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie, notamment le calcul en p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie, les capteurs en p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie, la connectivit\u00e9 IA ainsi que les dispositifs IdO pour le secteur oc\u00e9anique et maritime. Il a g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 64 d\u00e9clarations d&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat provenant de partout au pays. <\/p><p>Cette deuxi\u00e8me s\u00e9rie de financement renforce la position de leadership du Canada sur le march\u00e9 en croissance des interconnexions optiques visant \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la demande \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique des centres de donn\u00e9es. Elle \u00e9tend l&rsquo;intelligence jusqu&rsquo;au capteur gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des syst\u00e8mes de d\u00e9tection \u00e0 faible consommation et \u00e0 haute efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, notamment pour les applications maritimes et oc\u00e9aniques, la sant\u00e9, les robots et v\u00e9hicules autonomes ainsi que l&rsquo;automatisation industrielle.
