paraDOX™ is a new packet switching architecture with low-latency, high efficiency and scalable to thousands of ports, while using far fewer resources than current switches. paraDOX™ also integrates optical technologies, providing the pivotal “killer app” for massive silicon photonics semiconductor scaling. Data centers and AI clusters are key markets for paraDOX™ and a strong strategic asset for Canada to bring forth in the global market. paraDOX™ will bolster Canada’s leadership in sustainable, high-performance photonic technologies. But most importantly, paraDOX™ will reduce the incredible rate of power consumption of future AI networks by eliminating the optical transceivers and the digital signal processing inherent in today’s systems.
