Information Session: University of Saskatchewan

Supported by

FABrIC—funded by the Government of Canada and managed by CMC Microsystems—supports training and reskilling courses designed to equip industry and academia with the skills needed to strengthen the semiconductor industry in Canada.

Learn about the technologies and opportunities available for researchers, startups, and SMEs through FABrIC, a project managed by CMC Microsystems. The FABRIC Innovation Platform provides researchers in Canada with access to leading-edge, industrial CAD tools, subsidized access to fabrication, and training to prepare students for industry. This information session will provide an overview of FABrIC, describe available and upcoming technologies, and solicit feedback on research needs to guide future investments.

FABrIC is a five-year, $223M project to secure Canada’s future in semiconductors. FABrIC will lower barriers faced by Canadian companies to develop semiconductor manufacturing processes, to create semiconductor Internet-connected products and services (IoT), and to export into a global market. The FABrIC project is an Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) investment.
