This course will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to the Structural Mechanics Module, an add-on to the COMSOL Multiphysics® simulation platform that provides capabilities for modeling a wide range of structural phenomena.
During the 4-day online course, we will introduce you to various physics interfaces and general functionality provided in this module. By the end of the course, you will have been introduced to modeling of solid mechanics, shells, beams, and membranes, as well as static and dynamic analyses, nonlinear material models, and structural contact modeling. We will also demonstrate multiphysics couplings involving heat transfer, fluid flow, electromagnetics, and acoustics. In addition, we will discuss best practices and useful convergence techniques for specific modeling scenarios.
