Training: Structural Mechanics Modeling in COMSOL Multiphysics^® 2025

Supported by

FABrIC—funded by the Government of Canada and managed by CMC Microsystems—supports training and reskilling courses designed to equip industry and academia with the skills needed to strengthen the semiconductor industry in Canada.

This course will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to the Structural Mechanics Module, an add-on to the COMSOL Multiphysics® simulation platform with capabilities for modeling a wide range of structural phenomena.

During the 4-day online course, you will see how to model solid mechanics, shells, beams, and membranes and learn about static and dynamic analyses. In addition, we will discuss best modeling practices and useful convergence techniques for specific modeling scenarios.

Equipment Requirements

The training will use the attendees’ laptops and internet connections. COMSOL will supply a software trial license for the training.
