Challenges grant targeted funding for both Fabrication Process and IoT Commercial Product development.

Fabrication Process Development Challenges focus on building new or improving existing process capability with MEMS, Photonics and Quantum technologies. The Product Development for IoT Device stream supports the development and commercialization of new, advanced sensors and other semiconductor IoT products. 

Challenge funding covers up to 40% of R&D project costs led by small and medium-sized companies based in Canada. Academics and students collaborating with small and medium-sized Canadian companies can qualify as well for up to 40% of incurred costs.
