FABrIC’s Effectiveness Criteria

Section 1: Contribution to Skills Development
weighting of 30 points
Criteria: Highly Qualified Personnel (HQP) that will be trained in relevant tools, technologies and disciplines to address the skills needed by Canadian Industry.

Section 2: Potential for Commercialization
weighting of 20 points
Criteria: Intent and potential to increase commercialization.

Section 3: Research Excellence
weighting of 20 points
Criteria: Contribution made to maintaining or promoting the standard and status of microsystems research and technology development that has the potential to be exceptional by international standards.

Section 4: Collaboration
weighting of 10 points
Criteria: Fosters and demonstrates collaboration between large corporations, SMEs, NFPs, and/or academia.

Section 5: Capability
weighting of 10 points
Criteria: Possess the skills, resources and financial means to complete the project.

Section 6: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
weighting of 10 points
Criteria: Inclusion of elements and activities to advance principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
